It's been my experience that people who believe they absolutely hate reading have one of two problems.
One, they were not taught reading basics, so they read poorly and slowly, with sub-par comprehension. This makes all reading a chore. It's correctable, but it takes effort.
Two, they've never been exposed to reading material that totally grabs them, so much so that they're willing to work a bit to read. There's nothing wrong with reading graphic novels, erotica, cheesy romance, gore-laden thrillers, or whatever else suits your tastes, but it's really hard to find the right material. If you can't wait to see what happens next, the book's not right for you.

I did up until the last couple years. I started reading biographies and autobiographies when I would be on the bus going to work...and then I started reading fiction books. Before that, you couldn't get me near one.

nope not me..I read about 3-5 books a week. Some for pleasure and lots and lots for work and even more for school.

Reading is one of my favorite pastimes. If you find interesting subjects, you won't be able to stop reading about them. I wish you well. P E A C E!!!

How many books have you read? You have to find your genre. Try Harry Potter, I guarantee you'll fall in love with it, no matter what your age. Just try it!
