No. There is ABSOLUTELY NO scientific evidence to support that. As you can tell from the responses to your question, there is plenty of nonfactual, unsubstantiated, unsupported, untested antidote observations. Nothing in any of the replies made by all these people would stand up to scientific test or a court of law.

Humans cant sense when others are gonna die. How in the world can can animal?

Yes, some animals can sense death and/or illness. There are dogs with noses so sensitive that they are better at detecting small tumors than imaging equipment. And the story about the hospice cat that stays with dying residents is true, not anecdote. It is very likely that the cat can smell odors associated with impending death, which might be created by cell death, kidney failure, etc. I find it much more interesting that the cat is attracted to these people than that it can sense their coming death. What motivates it to spend their final hours with them?

Recently there was a cat in the news that a hospice claimed had that power. In reality it was just an anecdote and nobody ever proved it in a scientific way. It was great for the late news and Comedy Central had a sketch showing the cat smothering the patient with a pillow but in the end it was entertainment not science.

There was an article in a newspaper recently about a cat living in a nursing home who would enter the room of a resident a few days before death. It would curl up and stay until the day before death and then leave. It was so accurate that the nursing staff would contact next of kin.

Dogs can. They can also sense emergencies.
When a relative was ill the dog would not leave his side.
When my daughter had a fit during the night both our dogs jumped onto our bed and barked then ran into her bedroom.
I suppose other animals have the same instincts.

Yes they can , Dogs have a sixth sense that humans don't possess, they are sure canny creatures, and should not be under estimated, I should think Cats are probably the same.

no - people often put human thinking onto animals - anthropomorphism... there is no evidence of this - only stories told by people. This in itself is not evidence as people have many biases for saying such things.

My female Labrador dog was howling the morning my Mother in Law died upstairs, but I don't know if there was any significance. She hasn't done it since.
