Im on the last driving mission in San Fierro and it is the one where you are in a cop car but when i complete it the disc starts to click and the screen goes black for ages and this happens everytime i get into an emergency vehicle, can anymoe help and give me some solutions? thanks

Don't fill the scratches with toothpaste it doesn't work it will ruin the whole disk so the best thing to do is buy a new GTA: San Andreas

Sounds like you need to invest in a new version of the game.
Good thing is you can pick this game up for less than £10 if you go looking for it.
It's a shame it's a faulty disk coz this game rules.

take the disc into Gamestation - they are doing a disc cleaning service fer £1
karey i'll have to try that some time coz i have a few discs with scratches but can't be bothered to go up to gamestation and pay for the cleaning

that used to happen to me, just take out the disc and put toothpaste on it. as crazy as it sounds, it works. put a little. not a lot. then spread it with a cloth. then clean it off. NOT WITH WATER. basically lick the cloth and take it off. dont worry the disc wont scratch. thats what i did. and it works fine now=] good luck!

try cleaning the disk

disk has been played too much, prob scratched.
