Did you miss the engine tune up? When was the last time you change the spark plug and wires?

Excessive emission usually are caused by damaged O2 sensor, and you can damage O2 sensor by burning oil, gas, or coolant. But most cases, spark plug maybe not firing well, and unburned gas maybe ending up exhaust system. Have your spark plugs taken out and checked, they maybe fouled.
