pull taffy with him, he'll like that and don't underestimate bobbing for apples, not really candy but the point is to show your boss that lil extra attention so he will remember you at raise time, and of course, build him a gingerbread mausoleum, everyone loves those and he can display it for weeks

well you know the traditional gift of candy for Halloween is candy corn but if you haven't gotten your candy corn by now your SOL so i suggest you go with fun size bags of m&ms..

Your boss would like those little marshmallow skulls covered in chocolate. Or, any form of vampire candy. they are spookily delicious.
