Unfortunately it was 'tighten the money belts' this year - but I think I've done quite well. I know my family will be happy and that's the main thing - we can have a good time together and laughter doesn't cost us anything, - like the song says" It's the laughter you will remember, whenever you remember the way we were"

My Dad is the hardest person to buy for he doesn't collect anything doesn't smoke or drink alcohol all he does is work he doesn't have any hobbies his only passion is football Celtic fc is his team so I spent £100 ($200) on a team signed top and £60 ($120) on getting it framed but I know he will love it. That's the most Ive spent on 1 person (thing).

This Christmas I bought a $250 bike for my nephew. That's the most I've spent on one present, although I have bought people ipods and digital cameras and stuff. And I KNOW my parents used to spend tons on me when I was little.

I divided what I had and sought what I thought was usable for the little bit I had to spend. The thoughts kept going in my heart, that this is foolish and selfish and a waste(buying gifts to exchange) for; most of us have little finances and trying to buy with such a meager amount results in foolish spending for things of little of no use that go in closets cause the people have no care or use for it, the "it's the thought" is but a goading remark to make you buy into the "spend" mentality. I am suggesting if we, with little, that we divide up for trinket gifts, take that "little" and "gift" the entire sum to a cause or Charity as a lump sum where it would really make a difference! And celebrate with companionship and worship the birth of Jesus Christ!

$130 for a pair of stainless steel basket hilts for my boyfriend. He fights heavy combat in the SCA and needed some new hilts for his swords (actually a stick of ratan wrapped in duct tape). He's been saying since summer that he needs some, so that's what he's getting.
Oh yea, plus whatever the shipping ended up being.
