If it is personal or family problems, i exercise and read the bible. If it is school work or exams, well, I try to finish the work soon, listen to chill-out music during study break and maybe exercising (just to keep me healthy for the brain to work). Not many people realize this but eating healthy food that is rich in omega 3 and iron like salmon or beef are great to release stress.

Honestly, when I'm stressed out from all the studying [that's about the only thing I do, still being a teenager and not having to worry about bills, looks, boyfriends etc] I read Harry Potter books. Lol. It's weird, I know. But the books are best!

Ana, lie down in bed and practice breathing technique (inhale and exhale). after you have done that, think of all the good things that happened to you in the past and say to yourself, "Not bad! I really have a good life" DO NOT LET ANYONE RENT YOU MIND.

i used to draw a bath with candles for my GF when she was stressed she REALLY appreciated it
i even bought her fresh roses and pulled the petals off and spread them on the sink and tub ledges, and they smelled pretty for her

It may seem counter-intuitive, but a brisk 2 mile walk or jog will reduce stress.

Listen to music, sing or clean. I try not to sit in silence I find myself thinking about it more.
Kick boxing is also a good release.
