We live in a world where the idea of doing good will bring you many rewards. Younger children try to be honest, compassionate, and virtuous yearlong so that on christmas they can get presents (and be on the good list).

Of course, there is no man dressed in a big red suit, flying around the world with 9 reindeer but I would say that there is a Santa Clause but he is the inspiration to do good.

Our world doesnt seem to have this mindset anymore and look at where we are.

There really is, because my son was very good last year and there was a train set we don't know where it came from. Of course there are costumes, it's just for pretend, the real Santa doesn't brag about his giving.

He wasn't "Santa Claus" in the sense we think of him today, with the north pole and the elves and the flying reindeer. But there really was a Saint Nicholas, born in Anatolia (which is now Turkey) in the 3rd century.

You can read about him here:

Yes there actually was.

I read on Yahoo! that in time Before Christ, there was a guy who gave out stuff to poor people and his name was Nicholos. Thats how the tradition started...

Like everyone has said, St.Nicholas.

I've decided to tell my sisters when they are about to go into High School [When they're 11], that's if they still believe in him, the truth.

No. Supposedly there was a St Nicholas but there's a big difference!
