I have 2 questions actually, my PC, tends to fail with graphics, because i did sumthing in the past for the graphics to suck, and i wanna restore my PC, but system restore doesnt work, didnt work for months, now i cant restore all the way back to December 2006, from now Dec 2007. How do i fix system restore for it able to work

AND
WILL SYSTEM RESTORE help my graphics card to become how it was when i first obtained the PC?

Hi. Only the bold dates in System Restore will contain a valid Restore point. Not likely that you can go back that far (a year) so you may have to reinstall the OS. Do the same thing for the graphics card (uninstall). Always good to have the latest drivers downloaded from the manufacturer fist, but you can do this after as well.

System restore sucks for any thing more then 24 hours. No knowing what is wrong with your graphics card, the best I can say is uninstall your graphics drivers and go get the latest drivers from the manufacturer and install them.

P.S. Don't uninstall the drivers until you have downloaded the new ones.

Restoring the PC to a date long back could only cause more harm than good. There is one way though, insert your XP disc and open the Run window, type sfc/scannow hit enter/return. This should restore all the corrupted or deleted system files. Alternatively you may boot from XP disc and enter "recovery mode" for repairing the installation.
