Definitely give it a try. If it's a school team, you might not have the skill level you need (ask the coach about requirements to be sure), but an All-Star team should have something for your level of ability. :^)

You should see if there is an all-star cheerleading gym in your area, i started at an all-star gym when i was almost 15 and i have my back handspring, almost tuck now, your definitely not too old

and if you want a serious team, all-star teams compete year round, i thought that once i joined the team i got my tumbling faster because i wanted to impress the team, just a suggestion

good luck!!!

It depends what gym youre at(: at my gym they have classes specifically for beginners, so start there. Dont worry if youl are the oldest because you will get attention and if you are flexible, you will probaly learn quickly and level up. Hope i helpeddd

your definetely not too old
i just started gymnastics 3 months ago and I can already do a front handspring and a front flip and I've never taken a single gymnastics lesson in my entire life.
so as you can see, anything is possible when you put your mind to it

That's good. First try beginners so you can get a taste of cheerleading. It is also good practice just in case you feel insecure about yourself

definetly not to old to join, you'll be on a lower level though. You'll have to work pretty hard to be on a higher team!
