what makes a good or bad ego
this is somthing i cant seem to get a grasp on

Ego is your self-esteem, which can be high or low.
It is used to denote the part of the mind which is organized and has a sense of individuality.
If you say someone has "an inflated Ego" you mean that they have an inflated opinion of themselves.
An egocentric person is one who is self-centred
An egotist is someone who is self-opinionated, perhaps selfish and their morality is based on self-interest.

its your self confidence.
too much makes you arrogant
too little makes you a door mat
best to aim for somewhere in the middle, be confident but aware of others feelings
