Absolutely! Being a musician ~ music is a huge part of my life and this is one reason why. It has the ability to touch people no matter what language they speak ... what their beliefs are ... what their culture is, etc ... It can fill you with joy ... bring a tear ... or as you asked "give you goosebumps". This is one reason, in particular, that I like country music. It tells such real and beautiful stories that people can actually relate to. It is never hurtful, hateful, or violent. Those who are close minded to it are selling themselves short.
When I lost my dad in September this song happened to come on the radio one day when I was completely heart broken and could not stop crying. I felt like it was my dad saying that everything was going to be all right. Even if you don't care for country music ... sit back and listen to this. Andy Griggs wrote this in memory of his older brother who died of a heart attack at only 21 years of age. I think you may see why I love it and it may even give you a goose bump or two. =)

Yes, there are many songs that give me chills when I listen to them (depending on my mood it can be different songs from time to time). Usually the singer's voice is what does it but some instrumental music gives me goosebumps as well my my national anthem.

Yes, a lot of times. People often don't understand: but it's music that brings back memories, not just a 'good song'.
Thunderclap Newman, Something in the Air does it for me. As does Fairytale of New York...and lots of David Bowie songs. But i am a huge fan of Bowie so maybe that doesn't count!

Yes... as a child after experiencing dramatic trauma in my life my mom would play classical piano as I was falling asleep...Brahms, Beethoven and others to this day when I hear certain songs I get goose bumps. The music is emotional anyway without the memories. She may have always played as I went to sleep but somehow I tie it to this time period.
:) I said Drama Trauma kinda funny!!!

i used to go to my sister's high school band concerts and they would give me goosebumps. sometimes i can get really emotional when it comes to music. most have some kind of meaning that i can relate to. i can really feel them. i'm not sure how to describe it where it makes sense. but, the answer to your question is yes.

Yes... Most of the Sister Act soundtrack, especially when the red haired nun hits the high note. And Sister Act 2 when the guy hits the high note in "Happy Day"
One other song does it to me too, "American Pie" by Don Maclean. That song was my dad's favorite. It reminds me of him, and makes me feel that he's near, even though he passed away 15 years ago.

Yes, right now I have an old Elvis Christmas CD playing and his voice does that to me along with an occasional tear on tunes like Blue Christmas.
