at this early stage anything that includes sleeping for 5-6 hours straight is "through the night".

Me personally I don't rush it, I just know that when a baby gets to a certain age they are capable of being able to sleep though the night without a feeding. I have an 8 month old son who still wakes up every 2 hours in the middle of the night. I do wish that he would sleep though the night. I am a stay at home mom, but not only do I have an 8 month old, but I also have 22 month old twins and I'm pregnant again. I do know that I brought all this on myself, however I don't want a baby that is waking though the night with a newborn also. Like I said at 8 months old he is capable of going all night without a feeding. It is a chance to hold them and cuddle them, but at 8 months old they shouldn't need that.

my twins didn't start sleeping through the night until they were around 3mos old. as in, they go to "bed" at around midnight, and don't wake back up until around 6-7am. sleeping through the night for new babies consists of them sleeping uninterupted for 5-6 hrs straight with no interuptions. it looks like you are getting very close, though! keep your fingers crossed! it might be next week! ;p

What you need to do is make her earlier feeding a little bit more. FILL HER UP! Than she will sleep longer. When she wakes up don't feed her, maybe some water but not anymore than that. You want to promote sleeping, don't give her a reason to wake up. Don't make it exciting or give her something to want.
BUT NO this isn't sleeping through the night. She should go to bed at about 7pm and wake up at about 6am. going to bed any later than 9pm and getting up any earlier than 5am isn't through the night.

No technically sleeping thru the night is not waking up at all, but once you pass the 3wks it get much easier. Have fun with the new addition!

Nope, not even close, but it's good that you don't feed her when she gets up.
