Gore, did win the popular vote, because we have an electoral college system and Bush took it to the Supreme Court to win. The Supreme Court has more Republican Judges sitting on the Court, therefore... Bush won.

The Republicans will just call this being a sore loser, however the truth is that Al Gore won the Presidential Election in 2000. He had the most popular votes and it was proven that faulty ballots were the reason he lost Florida. Unfortunately the election was determined by the Supreme Court which was made up of a majority of Conservatives. President Bush was not elected President in 2000, he was appointed the job by the Supreme Court and claimed he had mandate from the people of the United States. For those who claim President Bush won the 2000 elections, do you even remember that the Florida Ballots gave a huge number of Gore votes to Nader? Enough that would have given Florida to Gore and in turn the Presidency?

Because he won 2 important votes;
1) the Electoral Collage, which is the body that actually selects the president & vice president in the country
2) the US Supreme Court, who ruled that despite the various voting irregularities & legal challenges, the 2000 elections was over & the Electoral Collage vote was valid.
This wasn't the first time a US president was elected inspite of losing the popular vote.
Doesn't matter that Bush may or may not know how to run the country, the essential problem is that ANY natural born US citizen over the age of 35 can run for the office. There isn't any Constitutional provisions about testing the candidates first & really, no way of knowing how a person will handel the office until they are already in it. Being vice president doesn't really count as a qualification as the VP doesn't actually make any decisions or take the heat for the decisions made. The VP's only offical duty is to preside over the Senate and take over as president in case his boss dies.
Why wouldn't Gore wage a useless war? His previous boss (Clinton) did when he sent the US military into Somalia.
Don't belive the hype, even the most capable of people can be total screw-ups as president (Carter for example...)

Al Gore would have done nothing about 9/11. Al and the Florida Supreme Court tried to change election law in the middle of an election so the US Supreme Court said no. States, not people, vote for president. Notice how the hanging chad issue was in DEMOCRAT districts in Florida??? Convenient.

Because Bush got more electoral votes. The U.S. supreme court did not change that. The U.S. supreme court over-ruled the activist Florida supreme court and said selective recounting was not fair. As it turned out, the ballots were recounted by independent groups after that decision and the results were consistently the same. Bush was the winner. So get over it democrats. Why is the left so critical of the U.S. supreme court and yet say nothing about the activist Florida supreme court who made up new rules for an election after the election was over? The Florida Supreme Court literally negated the legislature by disregarding the states rules for elections, then they created their own. The Florida Supreme Court is to blame for most of this debacle.

\Because Gore was the wrong choice
As was John Kerry
And it looks like the DNC is falling into that again with Hillary and Obama.
And the judges got involved because Al Gore refused to accept the will of the American people.

Because Bush is bad but Gore is worse. Neither one of them have done any thing to help the USA and shouldn't you be worrying about your own government and and let us take care of our problems.
