I stopped breastfeeding five months ago, but I still have a tiny bit that comes out when I squeeze the nipple (like a drop). In the event of the apocalypse and formula is no longer available, what are my chances of getting myself to lactate again if I'm not dead?

Please let me know if you find out a good answer, Ill keep looking at the answers, because my son typically only nurses on one boob, so I dont know if the other boob has milk left... I HATE HATE HATE Formula, plus my baby uses SOY, due to a lactose issue, same with me...
I know this is possible, im just not 100% sure how or if we can do it... Is it too late for my son to have a chance? He is 10 months old too. And he is a good nurser, and enjoys it since it soothes him, and its his comfort in the evening before bed, or during the night, or throughout the day, if perhaps he needs it. I know its on a NEED basis, so ussually the boobs only produce enough milk that they know you use, hence, if you dont nurse but once a day, your body will only produce that much! I have a $350 Medela pump, so I think its time to start using it... Its just sooo time consuming to pump at work, but its SOOO much better for baby~!

I'm currently trying to relactate. It's hard work but it's getting back up. I know adoptive moms can lactate so it's not impossible.

You can do it, it just takes time. You'd pump and nurse until your supply came back up. You can even do it when youre completely dried up.
Adoptive moms can even do it.
Boobs are amazing.
