How long does your first period after pregnancy normally last?

you bleed for 6-8 weeks after giving birth and then a few weeks later (if youre not breast feeding) you have a period. It can be heavier or lighter, longer or shorter. Having a baby changes your uterus and your hormones and it takes a while to have a new "normal".

Your first period after pregnancy should last the typical 5-7 days...whatever it was before your pregnancy! This could, however, take up to 6-8 months to regulate especially if you are breastfeeding! Good luck.
