Pull apart sticky buns
Here’s a VERY fun recipe that I just found. It had slipped down behind another recipe and gone completely AWOL for a very long time. I got this recipe years ago from Auntie Karen. It’s super easy-peasy, even for those of you who NEVER bake a thing.
Caramel Pull-Apart Buns
1 pkg. of freezer dough dinner rolls
1 pkg. butterscotch pudding mix (the cooked kind, not the instant kind)
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
Set this breakfast up the night before by putting the still-frozen dough balls into a greased Bundt pan. Melt together the butter, sugar, and pudding mix in a small saucepan. Pour this sticky mixture over the top of the dough balls. The caramel stuff will flow down and around and into all the cracks and crevices between the dough balls. Leave the pan on the counter overnight. The dough will thaw and then rise. It will be ready to bake about the time you’re ready to put it into the oven the next morning.
Preheat the oven to 350° and bake buns for 20-25 minutes.
Turn out of very hot pan onto a plate and serve. Watch these little rolls disappear almost instantaneously!
This is a quick recipe that you can get a little creative with. You can add chopped walnuts or pecans to this for pecan sticky buns. You can also use a vanilla pudding with a little orange juice and some grated orange peel added to take the buns in a fruity direction. In fact, whatever flavor of cooked pudding mixes you can find in the store is fair game. You can also make your own dough, form it into balls, and freeze it, if you’re too cheap to buy the premade freezer dough (I’m raising my hand on that one.)

We are having a meal where everyone is bringing a dish or an item of dessert, so we hopefully will have a nice variety to choose from!

a box of chocolates, I eat all the ones that have nuts, caramel, or molasses. Between my husband, my father in law, and my sister-in-law's husband I'm pretty sure they bought out at least three area stores...my husband told me they all spent a ridiculous amount of money on chocolates because they know all the women are going to want them and there's going to be about 50 women in attendence at the party tomorrow night.
