think about a gift cert. for a doggie day spa. you like those places poeple take there dog for a wash, flea dip, ribbons in there hair and so on.
i think pet smart offers something like that. or try to contact your local pet supply house and ask them if they offer such a service or can direct you to some business that does.

LavishPet Spa quality shampoo has only the purest ingredients for a lavish bubble bath for the dog.

I was able to find this in a local pet supply store in my area. It's expensive but worth it for doggie.
Try this: fill the tub with just enough water to cover doggie if he lies down in the tub. Put a big towel in the tub for a pillow for his head so he can relax in the tub while keeping his head above the water.
You could get him some Cottenelle wipes to clean his face.
YOu could also get him some wonderful soft, plush blankets and then when he's done with his bath, put the blankets in the clothes dryer and then wrap him up in the warm toasty blankets and let him drift off into doggie dreamland!!
Put all of these beauty supplies in a nice box and give it to him as a care package along with some good quality treats and he's all set.
And do not refer to an animal as "it". That's disrespectful.

Get anything. No offense, but your dog won't know. Just get something in a different color. Your dog probably isn't expecting a gift for Christmas anyway.

We get our dog a large butcher bone every year. You can find these at most supermarkets or probably at pet stores. This bone keeps her busy for hours and even after she has gnawed it down to a very small bone she carries it around with her every where. She still has the one we got her last year!

Try a sauce-covered nylon bone. My dogs always go crazy over those, plus, they last forever. You can get them at Food Lion in the dog food isle. :)

Just get him a treat or something it's a dog. You don't need to go crazy over it.

my dogs loves those bbq cow femurs. they last an incredibly long time and keeps her teeth clean. (beware tooth problems in older dogs) also my dogs love it when their collars make noise, so get another tag or charm. u could always go the pigs ears/rawhide chews they wont last long but they r popular.
