I ordered a Wii for my wife about two months ago for Christmas. About two or three weeks ago, my wife left me and our kids(it's a long story). Now the Wii just arrived today and I know this seems trivial, but I'm not sure what to do with it.
Do I give the Wii to my wife? She keeps saying she wants me back and I don't want her to give her any false messages by giving a gift to her, but it just makes sense to me that she should have it since she's the one I bought it for. Or should I maybe give it to my kids? They're six and three, I'm not sure whether this would be appropriate or not.
I'd REALLY appreciate any help! We exchange gifts tomorrow because we volunteer on Christmas so unfortunately, I've got a time crunch working against me. Thanks in advance! :)

Ages 6 and 3 are the perfect ages for a Wii. They can learn eye/hand skills and have lots of fun at the same time. I have lots of happy memories of playing Atari with my brother John. Now that I'm OLD and three marriages later, I can share some knowledge: give it to the kids but on the card, write all three names. She'll know and she'll get the picture. I'm so sorry this happened to you. I wish you the best.

Definately give it to your children. Six years old is old enough for a system like that. They have games for younger children. I wouldn't give it to your wife if you are not sure that you are going to take her back. If you feel the need to give her a Christmas gift I would stick to something small, but somewhat generic. Especially since you don't want her to get the wrong idea. Good luck...I wish you and your children the best!

Give the Wii to her from the kids not from you. It was purchased for her. The kids are really to young for that type of video game.
A Wii is not a "false message" gift. Jewelry is a "false message" gift. Something personnel like that.
As far as getting back together. That is up to you. Think of your kids and keeping the family together. However if she would just keep leaving you and the children then that is not best for them either. Children need stability. Just keep things civil during the Holidays.
Good luck!

You don't seem like a fool. Giving it to her would make you a fool. Keep it. Let your children use it when they are with you. If you give it to her, you will never see it again.
She'll probably sell it for a profit...(sorry, I have issues w/women who are users.)

You seem so nice! I hope things work out for you and your family! With regards to your question, I would give it to her and tell her you got it for her before she left but you still wanted her to have it. That doesn't give false hope, it's only the truth!
Good luck and Merry Christmas

I would not give it to her. Return it, and get your money back. If she has left you, you will need all the money you can get, and it is not suitable for your kids. Good luck!
