Paypal is accepted on line in any country. It isn't a card it is a service you sign up for. You give them your card number and information and they broker the deal by transferring money from your account (read credit or debit card) into the venders account. To do this they charge the vender a fee just like if you used your credit card in a store. The advantage is the vender never sees your credit information. This means that you can purchase securely on line without having to give venders your credit card information every time you buy something on EBay or a number of other venders that you might want to purchase from. I've used them for years and had no problems.

PAYPAL is usually accepted WORLDWIDE, including India. You can pay ANYONE that has an e-mail address, anywhere any time in ANY currency they handle, which is most world currencies. If you keep balances at PAYPAL, take advantage of their money market account, which pays 4.60 % annually (last time I checked about a week ago) on ALL balances and no minimum balance or time limit required to earn interest. They credit interest on last day of the month. You can still get cash to your account anytime in 3-4 business days with NO loss of interest.
