It's a running joke in my group of friends that one of us has a photo of himself that makes him look like a teapot.

For his 18th, we're looking into getting a custom made teapot with this photo on it. Does anyone know of a way to do this - either getting it made somewhere or a method of transfers to put the photo on it?

Forgot to mention - we live in the UK, east of England.

Although sending off to various parts of countries wouldn't be a problem, travel would.

Knox: thanks for those sites. Like you say, I'm sure we'll find a way. The original idea was *a* teapot, but that transformed into him *on a* teapot. It has a natural flaw, though, in that we'll all die soon after giving it to him... Seriously, he wouldn't use it, but would keep it around on display; like I say, it's been a joke for years.

^^^^ on this website there is a contact us section - try emailing them and asking them If this is something tehy could do.

also - try costco or something - they may be able to print it on - but i don't really thinks thats possible becasue its not a flat surface and its breakable.

alternatively - go to a photography shop and ask if they could print the image for you onto a surface.

I'm sure there is someway to do it - congratualtions on your very alternative and unique gift idea. Good luck finding out how to do it. If you suceed please let me know - i might use your idea for my dad's xmas peresent next year - men are always so hard to buy for and he lovesa good cuppa - Ohhhh - Don't i sound very English - I am by the way =D

** EXTRA NOTE**

ASDA PUTS PICTURES ONTO TEACUPS AND MUGS - IF IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO AHVE A TEAPOT - MAYBE THIS WOULD DO AS AN ALTERNATIVE. **

You may be able to commission one from a ceramics student. Contact one of the universities who runs a ceramics course. Take the photo along, and they may be able to make a teapot that looks like his photo. My brother studies ceramics and had to make tea pots in class...

How about if you print his picture onto one of these water-slide decals and then put that on a ceramic teapot?
