A hot chocolate set from a friend. When I first looked at it, I thought it was pretty neat, bottles of powdered chocolate, milk, and marshmallows. Then I tried to use it and found, the powdered stuff was so old it was hard, and the marshmallows broke into dust at the touch. I threw it all away.

These friends have a lot of friends and family, and I felt it was an obvious re-gift from a few years ago. It truly IS the thought that counts, but there was no good thought here.

One year, when my brother and sister and I were all teenagers, this was this one big box by the tree with all three of our names on it. We saved it for last because it seemed like it might be something really good or at least interesting. When we finally opened it, it was a big warehouse-sized box on contact lens cleaner. (We all wore contacts.) So disappointing! Especially when you're a teen and your parents buy that kind of stuff for you. Now that I'm an adult I would appreciate it more because it would save me some money!
