I have read that there are massive pile ups due to the storms and at least 5 deaths. One pile up was reported to involve at least 50 . What a horrible thing for these people

It is 10 degrees, very windy, roads are snow covered and slippery in a part of WI.

It is COLD here and the winds whipping. Froze the doors closed. LOL Waiting to see how the Bears and Green Bay are going to handle this wind. Showed a kick in practice where it blew the ball right back to the kicker. Radio said the wind bent the goal posts. It's not fun and I'm definatly not hitting the roads today.......it's lightly snowing....more to come. We had 2 pretty nice days that melted the snow and everything was wet......temps dropped quickly so there's solid ice at the base of whatever we end up getting.

There's undisturbed two-week-old snow surrounding my truck here in the mountains of New Mexico. Occasionally I hear someone drive past on the road below the house. Usually I hear them trying to get themselves out of the irrigation ditch down where the road turns, also.

Those Texans could learn to stay home a bit more when the weather's bad and save themselves some growth experiences.

Yep it got us again here in Oklahoma. Just not as bad this time. I was planning on going out in mom and dad's yard and trying to get some of the limbs and branch out of it, but it is way to cold to do that right now. The yard was covered in ice and snow this morning, but most of that has melted off now. I have 2 weeks off from work so maybe during that 2 weeks I can get some of it cleared IF it don't get us again.

Here in Idaho it is the first snow in the valley that has hung around since I returned in 03. We are due for more and rain to help slick it up a bit for the next 2 days. I will be sitting in my little apt instead of going to my daughters for the Christmas dinner. Brrrr! Who made mother nature so mad this year??

I was reading that too. My prayers are with them. I'm in Utah and we haven't had anything like that here. Snow is expected tomorrow though.. around 6 to 8 inches I think.

No. I live in Florida, but it is a bit cold here, by our way of thinking. In the 60s.

All the misery makes me sad even though I live in the South and have experienced good weather.
