(1) Abstinence is the absolute only way to guarantee that you won't get pregnant.
(2) Birth control pill. This is effective only if you remember to take it on a daily basis at about the same time each day.
(3) Rings, patches, etc. These are not as good as the pill, as I've been told.
(4) Condoms. If you can't have the pill and for some reason don't want to wait, then this is as good as it'll get.

The "pull-out method" is not a real method at all. Plenty of people have gotten pregnant try to use this as a birth control method. What they don't realize is that pre-ejaculate contains sperm just like ejaculate. And it can get you pregnant.

Even if you are on the pill or the ring or the patch, you should still use a condom to protect yourself from STDs. Even if the guy claims that you are his first, use one anyway. You can never be certain.

I loved it when I was on Depo-Provera. Highly recommend that. You get a shot once every 3 months - it stops your periods (so no more cramps!) and it is not affected by antibiotics.

I would say abstinence, but it didn't work for Mary.

I use the pill.
