Why is it that when we find someone here in the county that is illegal we don't send them back to their country? And if they get sent back why don't they stay there? How is it that they keep crossing the border and coming back? Don't you think we pay our border patrol enough to keep things under control?

Ok so it would cost millions. But shouldn't our federal Government pay for that since this was really their mistake in the first place? Why should we have to pay for the removal of their mistakes? I think that's who should pay for this.

They should be sent back. It's ridiculous that they are not. It's because a lot of politicians aren't focusing on that issue right now. If they cross the border legally though then I don't think there is a problem. I hate that in America we see everything repeated in spanish, EVERYTHING! If you're going to come to America, learn the language!

They should be, but it is cheaper the way Arizona is doing it. The law that goes into effect on Jan. 1 holds employers responsible for hiring illegals, and they can lose their business license if they do not go by the law. News reports already say that the illegals are leaving by droves back to Mexico or wherever they are coming from. Alas, don't worry, though, the liberal activist judges as well as the ACLU (aka the American Communist-Liberal Union) will make sure they bring a lawsuit that you and I will have to pay for in order to overturn the law that the majority of the people of Arizona wanted.

Yes, they should be taken back, but that is not likely to happen because it is a huge undertaking. And they would just continue to come back because they know that they will be able to find someone who will hire them here. The Border Control cannot be everywhere at once. They have a huge job on their hands and there will always be those who can sneak by them.

Because of Liberals. Liberals believe that they can "fix" a problem with more social programs. Illegals can get documents and "live off the fat of the land" while the LEGAL folks pay the bill. It is not done because they run it through the courts. If the current laws were ENFORCED, it would be a different situation all together.

Only the Federal Government can make and enforce immigration law....and they are disinclined to enforce them.
Besides, with 11 or 12 million immigrants here illegally, how do you suppose they can all be found...and, if found, how do you suppose they all be rounded up, held and deported????
How many buses or planes? Who will pay the bills??
Just leave it alone. Bush will probably sign a blanket amnesty bill before he leaves office...then they won't be illegal anymore and you can find something else to gripe about.

Yep. They have broken the law. Anybody who breaks the law needs to suffer the consequences. No exceptions.
They keep crossing the borders because they can. We have very poor border patroling - and our borders are too big to watch every inch of them.

It would take years and years to find them all. Then, who would round them up? Thats not the job of the FBI or local police depts. How would we send them back? By train? By bus? By plane? That would cost millions. Common sense dictates that we just cannot do the impossible. But you are correct... we need more border patrol and they must be paid much more for the dangerous job they do. What they make is absurd. Our politcians and state governments should be ashamed.

The quickest way to send illegal immigrants back to their home country, would be to start fining the people who are employing them and a large percentage will return on their own, the ones left should be deported.

Any idea how much it would cost to send all these people back to their country? I can hardly afford to travel by myself anymore. How would we pay for that? We're already spending over a trillion in Iraq. The dollar is as strong as a butterfly. Quite simply, as a country, we can't afford it.
