Damned if you do, damned if you don't. That might be one expression with which you are familiar. We "Yanks" have another expression---no good deed goes unpunished. Your Post-Imperialistic, second rate, unproductive, cry baby, incapable, Continent and Nation would not exist today, but for "Yank" Interventionism.

You "Brits" have your own house to clean up---even though it's getting to the point where the sun never RISES on the British "Empire". You get your "jollies" jerking around the Irish for centuries as you lost your holdings and influence, while in the last 200 years we "Yanks" through dint of hard, hard labor, intelligence, savvy and guile have become the the greatest, strongest, and MOST BENEVOLENT Nation in the history of the planet!

If I were in charge, and if I didn't believe that it is the US, and only the US, that prevents the "Thirld World" from taking over everything (including you snivelers), I'd take you up on your suggestion. I'd bring all of my young men and women home, close all of my Embassys, cut all diplomatic relations, and let Iran, Putin, Bin Laden---all of the terrorists, criminals and Religious Zealots you can think of---do their own thing for a while, right on your doorstep.

And, when you "Brits" came begging on your knees, I'd tell you to go blow, I was too busy working.

You claim to know so much about America and Americans but your very question elucidates the fact quite well that you are completely ignorant regarding the world around you and the dangers therein.

The "Yanks" are saving your bacon, just as they did in WWII (when, by the way, Europe was complaining America took too LONG to plunge in and couldn't be happier to have their participation when the blitzkrieg was reducing your cities to rubble). You didn't listen to Churchill and Germany kicked your behinds. You're not listening to Blair and Bush now and if not for the meddling Yanks, once again, Europe would be doomed to repeat that history.

But by all means, continue being the armchair quarterback and blasting an entire nation, which I doubt you've ever visited, of 301,139,947 people, none of whom I presume you've ever met. Luckily for the rest of us, you're not running the show. If you were, your mother and sisters would be wearing burquas within 5 years.

You can say what you like about the americans, but one thing is for sure, if they were run by a looney liberal who had no interest in overseas political situations then the world would be a sorrier place.

If it was not for the sabre rattling of Bush and his cohorts, there would be many more despots around the world (who are presently keeping their heads down) deciding o come out of the woodwork.

Ok we do not have all the answers, but let me recall that it was the UK that massed up a lot of country also. It was you who went along with us also, on this war with Iraq. We saved your butts in WWI and WWII. Trying to force you will on someone or country is wrong, but when you sales arms hopping that they will do things your way and they bite the hand that armed them. I see old UK tanks here every day on my FOB how did they get there? We yanks has done a lot for the world so get off our backs.

As far as Yanks, we are now called Americans. Yankees are a reference to those Americans who live in the Northern most parts, or a NY baseball team. So unless you think Derek Jeter needs to get a part time job, your jabs are pointless.

If everyone would just do what we say then the world would be perfect.

The last time I looked we are such bad people untill something happens and someone needs help then what does the world do ? Come knockin on our door. Why is that?

On second thought How many years is it going to take for you Brits to get over having your collective butts handed to you by a bunch of ragtag farmers? I mean that was a long time ago. So just get over it and leave us alone. We do not post UK hate all over the place do we?

I do with certain things. They just stick their oar in and muddy the water. I used to love America and I still like the American people but sometimes enough is enough. It's like they only see America as the only civilised country. However with their lax gun laws and the death penalty how can they consider themselves fully civilised. Each country has their own problem, the US is not alone in this. The UK has a rising problem with knife crime for instance but politicians and police are cracking down on this. But the US gun laws are a joke - going in to a supermarket and being able to buy ammunition. I mean I love visiting America and are tons of lovely American's but come on guys! And do American's know there's a high selling book in Europe called 'Why the rest of the world hates America'??!
