So don't get me wrong. Karri Ramo is doing great, and last night's loss was not his fault....but I'm just a little anxious cause the Lightning are 14th in the East. We need all the wins we can get and should have won last night but I'm still nervous with a rookie in goal even though I don't trust Denis or Holmqvist anymore either.

So why isn't anything being done about Tampa's goalie situation?? It's not like we aren't scoring (we have Lecavalier and St. Louis with banner years again). If Torts likes Holmqvist, fine but why not drop Denis 2.5 Mil and make up for it some how? I know I should give Ramo more time and he is great an all, plus the Lightning always come back in the 2nd half of the season....but disregarding that, what can we do about this goalie situations???

TBLightning - that's what I'm saying. We may only get half Denis salary, but that's still 1.25 Mil and free up 2.5 in the future. Unless this was his last year on the contract, I can't remember and don't feel like looking it up. I know full and well Ramo is "the future" to Torts, but it's because of that that I'm worried and feel something needs to be done. Move Denis out, get anyone in. I like how Ramo is playing and like I said he's done nothing wrong, but it's just frustrating how well we are shooting and scoring and not getting the key wins we need. Plus technically Darche's goal was legit, but he tried to follow his shot through and moved his leg in the direction of the puck in the process....got hosed there.

The main concern with Ramo, the rookie, was that we were bringing him up too early, and that he would be fed to the wolves. Thus far, the 21-year-old has shown he's more than ready to step up and become our number #1 'tender.

Who's gonna want Denis, a back-up goalie who makes 2 and-a-half million dollars a year? Our only option is to put Denis on waivers, and then on re-entry waivers, where the team that acquires him will only have to pay half of his salary.

Well, we are scoring, but not as much as you would like. Past the big three, who do we have that can score? Hlavac? Ward? Oullett? Heck Andre Roy has even been on Richy's line for a while. This is a one-line team, and we haven't done much to change that.

We're between a rock and a hard place right now, and we've gotta fly with the goalies we've got for the rest of the season.

Tampa has no depth, they need a new goalie but i think Tortorella is trying to be careful, because the more expensive the goalie they get, the less money they have to add depth or sign/resign guys.

at this point i think CuJo would come back for next to nothing, so i dont know why they dont just pick him up, he might only have 1 year left in him but he fills the void for now.

If I'm Tampa I'm trying to aqquire Manny Fernandez or Jose Theodore. Untill then Holmqvist is a decnent top goalie
