I'm not offended when my Jewish friends say "Happy Hannakuh" to me on their holiday, I'm not offended when my brother-in-law and his family wish me a happy Kwanzaa, and they aren't offended when I tell them "Merry Christmas" on the 25th. Honestly, some people just try to make a crisis out of the most ridiculous little things!
Diversity is a GOOD thing! Why are people so focused on trying to find problems with innocent phrases? You know something, I'm a Christian and when someone of a different faith wishes me a happy Hannakuh or Kwanzaa, I think that's excellent, I think it sends a message that we are all appreciated and accepted no matter what faith, if any, we hold. People really need to get over the PC thing, I think it's reached a little too far in some instances.

happy holidays. but i think that this is getting ridiculous. people are starting to feel guilty about saying merry christmas. its not like were discriminating against others holidays, just most of the population celebrates christmas. some people overreact when someone says merry christmas, but its not that big a deal.

Im a Catholic, but Merry Christmas shouldn't offend anybody. To be politically correct chose Happy Holidays, which im not offended by neither is anybody else. The only offensive saying all who Believe in God should be mad at is X-mas. Take Christ out of Christmas and you have nothing. Happy Holidays though can mean Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanza, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year without being offensive.
I've got a Jewish friend and it doesn't offend me at all if I say Happy Hanukkah or he tells me Merry Christmas. If your offended by what somebody says, tell them so they don't make the same mistake over.

It's still a free country (for now) so speak what's in your heart.
Merry Christmas was never meant to offend anyone. Neither is happy holiday.
I wish everyone of every faith a very Merry Christmas or non-faith, a very happy holiday. Take whichever one you want, just have a great season.

I usually say Merry Christmas to friends/family and Happy Holidays to people I don't know. However I don't think it is wrong to use either one, it is a personal preference.

Sad that this is a tough question, but political correctness dictates we say Happy Holidays so as not to offend. Then again politically correct people fought for Santa to say ha ha ha this year because ho ho ho may be offensive. No matter what religion you are the holidays are supposed to be about love and family and good cheer.I say Merry Christmas and if someone is offended oh well.I'm not offended by Happy Hanukkah or Happy Kwanzaa.I know the intention is to offer good wishes and isn't it supposed to be the thought that counts?
