Since then i had to turn it to akward postions to make it charge. When I remove the battery with the charger plugged in it dosent turn on. Someone told me that my power jack inside is loose and I have to solder it back in. Could it be the charger or what? I sadly LOST the warrnty book is there another way to apply for ti or am I screwed? If i do need to solder it back in how much do you think it might cost around aproximitaly? Please Help

Yes It could be posible to be the power jack! but fist you shoul try borrowing another charger from someone else to make sure it is not your charger the tne that is faulty! or if you have a mutimeter! try checkin it out if it is giving any power out! sometimes the cords on it break in the inside and you don't notice that! otherwise I think it probably will cost you aoround 50 to 100 dlls to get soldered dependin on where you take it to! good luck

you're to heavy handed inserting and removing the jack plug to the computer, you will need to have the jack pin re soldered.

The price for the re solder a round here is $120.00. the computer has got to be stripped down do to the motherboard. which is not an easy job to do,

so depending on where you live and if anyone in your area dose that type of work on laptops the price could be anything.

when you get it repaired be more careful on inserting and removing the jack plug ....

It's not even a year old. Contact Acer and see what their warranty covers and for how long. I'll guarantee if you open it it will kill the warranty. It's unlikely the store will cover this because they will tell you it's covered under factory warranty. However you can at least make the call. Plan on having to send this off to a factory service department for a while. They will also tell you to back up all your data. That will be interesting.

It might just be the charger; you should try to use a different one and see if that works before you try and solder anything. My mum had the same problem but it worked when she borrowed my charger.
