I think that figuring out ways to make money is one of the funnest things on Runescape. Others will say go fishing or smelt steel/iron/bronze bars to make money, but I think what you really need is to make money while getting your combat level up. Who cares if you've got 50 fishing if you only have 15 strength.
If you're low level, you should probably start by killing cows. Bank the bones (80ea) and cowhides (100ea), and sell them on the Grand Exchange. This should get you enough money to buy good weapons and armor quickly. If you want to train prayer, bury the bones instead. You'll still make very good money. Go to the cow pen south of Falador. It's less crowded, and closest to a bank.
When you get higher leveled (like 40 combat), train on the Hill Giants in the Edgeville dungeon. They drop limp roots (500ea) and big bones (400ea) and other good stuff. Bank them and sell on the Grand Exchange for big money. Don't forget to pick up the brass key, so you can get back and forth quicker.
These two techniques will get you all the money you could possibly need as a non-member, while you train up your fighting skills.

Basically, without money in Runescape, you are nothing. People lose respect for you and they treat you like trash. Well, not all of them some people are nice. Anyway, do all the quests first, then use the money to get your fishing level up. Sell the fish you got in banks near the wilderness. people will buy them there.

here is what I do,
you can get 30 airs and 30 minds from the lady in lumb, then half an hour later, drop them then talk to her she will give you 30 more of each, then pick up the rune you dropped and you will have 60, next, go to the grand exchange and sell them for the highest price, you will make about 5k an hour or you can go fish trout and sell them 30gpea you make 100k and hour

You have 2 options. 1 work on your skills or 2 walk around picking up the few gp people leave laying on the ground.
