Great, just what this Country needs!

Play it right. The illegal goes home for several months, visas are applied for and then all is well. There is a way to do it otherwise with the illegal in the US but there is much danger in doing so....... cost and denial of applying even if married.

Take wife/husband to immigration beauru and ask for a green card for the illegal. He/she became legal when vows were taken and license issued.
Personally think they should go back to country of origin and put in for immigration visa and do the five years befor being allowed to file fir citizenship.

Go to an Immigrant services center, and file for a green card, then you will have legality to living here

Go to the immigration office and they will be glad to furnish you with all the information you need. The paperwork is very arduous and it takes a long time, but it will be worth it in the end.

well, I don't know that but I do know that if you came to this country with a permenant visa and u marry some one who is already a citizen, you get your visa in 3 years instead of 5. um...for the illegal people, I think it is only if u have children here...(i might be wrong).

by marrying a US citizen, then you have to file paperwork with the INS...
After, i believe, 5 years you can apply to become a US citizen

The US citizen must apply for a spousal visa.
Should be relatively easy.

well U.S. citizenship is one of the easiest to obtain.as long as your born on U.S. soil your a citizen, if your an illegal and have a child on U.S. soil the child is a citizen, and if an illegal is married to an American, then I think they become naturalized citizens.

i believe they have to be married for 7 years and then they become legal.
