They have no chance of getting into power. Too many half-witted, loony, bleeding heart liberal 'policies'.

They'll never do it. Too many persons of voting age are none smokers now, and even many smokers won't smoke near non-smokers in the work place as well as public places such as restaurants. Besides, the Liberal party is no better than the Conservatives anyway where it comes to corporate and self greed. Look at BC and what the Liberals have done to Nursing Homes, Schools, Hospitals and the entire Health Care Program!
Not to mention the 2010 Olympics to the province. Way over budget like the Montreal Olympics that took 30 years to pay off at the tax payers expense. It will bring economy to the province all right, but at who's cost? The tax payer in Kitamat, Lyton, and elsewhere except where the venues are won't see a return, but they'll be paying for it, and so will their grandchildren while the big wigs dine and entertain.
NDP may not have all the answers, but at least they do try and trying is better than a promise and not trying.

Nobody will ever repeal the smoking ban. I don't smoke having quit 32 years ago, after smoking for 28 years. I started at age 15.

I'm confused are you talking about American Politics? I've seen American conservatives working hard against smoking bans in various places around the country while liberals are more apt to fight for these bans.I'm inclined to think you must be speaking about a country in the EU.It sounds like your referring to a national smoking ban which hasn't happened in the U.S.,(yet).Please tell us which country are you speaking of,is there a country in the world where smoking has been out-lawed completely? I'm ashamed to admit but I've been so wrapped up in American Politics I haven't really noticed what going on in the rest of the world.

the liberal party wouldn't have the guts to do anything. they are a party designed for!!....and accustomed to!!.... sitting on the fence. GOD help us if they ever got into power. instead of question time we'd have sober up the speaker time or panic attack time. for the first time in history, the houses of parliament would start the days business to the sound of inhalers, and MPs would be sitting knee deep in empty calms packets.

They might. But they are not interested in selling the health of the nation down the river to take power. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/3833873.stm

Until the voting system is made fairer, I think we're stuck with Browns Incompetence Party.
The smoking issue is more from Brussells, though didn't he just give away our rights?
Traitors gate awaits him.

Your rant needs a context to make any sense. (currently devoid of both)

OK OK I'll be more precise, what country are you talking about? (I'm not the only one who thinks you need to be more specific, please read the other posts)
