This is possible, but almost never done anymore. With all the expense, you can build new cheaper. The cost of moving the house even 30 mile would be very expensive and you'll have the expense of filling in and grading the basement you leave behind.

Make sure you know exactly where you want to place your house because there are many factors involved. Not only will it require to be moved at a time when most everyone is asleep(early am), utility companies have to be brought in to make sure the overhead wires are not hit, police have to escort tractor trailer, cables, transformers and other utility items need to be watched, roads and bridges have to be wide enough so that the house can be moved properly, a route might be longer and out of the way to have access.and don't forget the house may have to be cut in two or three pieces to bemoved.

The house is lifted off the foundation so the basement will stay behind and if you want another basement on your new property you would have to get permission and have that done first before your house is in place.

Oh yeah, it's possible, and I've seen it done, but it's extremely expensive. 300 miles would NEVER make sense, since the moving alone would cost you far more than the finished project would be worth, even if you got the house for free.

Thirty miles is going to be very expensive as well. First the house has to be lifted slowly on to supports, and then moved onto 'wheels' for towing. Movement is extremely slow, and the moving company must pay for EVERY power line and telephone line which must be disconnected for the house to pass through. Yes, a two story WILL require many disconnections. You may well be looking at $100,000 to go just thirty miles, depending on the above. 300 miles ? Out of sight.

Very costly. Hardly worth it. You might better sell rent and/or buy another home.
