Have you ever attended any of the grades 3 - 12 in a public school system? All of your questions have already been answered in standard curriculum. You can be late in your period and not be pregnant. There is no difference between brand name and generic drugs with the same active ingredients and as long as you are within you regular schedule of administration everything should be working regularly. However, it should also be noted that you can still get pregnant on properly administered birth control. If you weren't aware of this before there are things called pregnancy tests that you can take. They sell them over the counter just about everywhere. You can often get a false positive but rarely will you get a false negative. Another cool idea, not so well known, is to take the RU486 drug. It's the day after abortion pill if that's accessible to you where your from. They like to give it to recently reported rape victims but it has to be administered very soon. Although you're past the window for this drug it may be an option for you next time.

Just because your period is late it does not mean you are pregnant. Stress can make you late, so RELAX!! It is possible though that you could be pregnant. It only takes once without birth control to fall pregnant. If you are on one brand of pill and change to another it should be effective immediately. Usually it is after the 12th week of pregnancy that your stomach starts to become harder, but everyone is different. If you are pregnant you will start to feel tired, possibly a little nauseous and certain smells could have you reaching! The easiest way I can describe it is a bit like a hangover that doesn't go away!!
My best advice to you is to wait, if you haven't had your period in a few days time, buy a pregnancy testing kit and use it! If you are pregnant then you need to see your doctor for advice. If you are not pregnant, start using contraception EVERY time you have sex!!
Good luck hun

WAIT: for the time being wait. If your period has not arrived after a few more days, then take a test. Don't worry about it. There is nothing you can do at this point. Just wait a few days and take a test. See a doctor. Don't worry.
Regardless of whether or not you are pregnant, you need to see a doctor regarding correct facts and reproductiive health. You should already know that pregnancy is a possibility. You should already know that it is a little early to worry about your period being late. You should already know that changing medications is a definite factor as is stress.

Do you realize that stress can cause your cycle to be late?? Chill out. Birth control pills are 98% effective. Even though you changed brands you should be covered. Well, you didn't say if there was a lag between when you stopped the first pill, began the second pill and then how long you were on it when you had sex. If you don't start your cycle by this weekend...go get a test. Pee on it first thing in the morning. Your fist pee of the day and it will be most accurate. Good Luck.

I would take an early detections test, but the brand of birth contraol pill really doesnt matter, if the Dr prescribed it then it should work. they are all usually about the same. I honestly do not think that oyu are preg. sometimes your period can be late. Stress, excessive excersise and so forth can make a period late. Relax take a test and I hate to say it but wait. If you are to anxious go have a blood test done at the DR.

u could be. since u havent started ur period yet, go get three preg pee tests. but, with those, the birth control sends off a chemical that will make the pee tests say no your not. so get 3. it takes over 3 months to start showing at all. go ahead and make an appointment with a guynacologist. for a check up, and pregnancy notification. Take care of yourself. also, switching birth controls, or putting any stress on the body can make your period late. relax, ur body may start its cycle.

you could be late and not pregnant. Just relax. If u dont start your period there are agencys all over that give out free pregnancy test and they are confidental. And they can help with decisions about the baby how to get insurance, the would be the most capable to help you. And if your not take this as lesson learned. ALWAYS USE A CONDOM. I had my son in high school and it was so hard. I love him and would give him the world but i lost out on so many oppurtunitys becase of it. Not to mention STDs u dont know how many people i know that have stds, its not worth the risk. No guy has ever said "yes baby Im having unprotected sex with 3 girls" Guys lie

Alot of my friends have had this problem. I take it that you're young and not ready to have a baby?
Calm down, you're stressing. Stress makes your period come later or not have it at all. And if you switched your pills there is a good possibility that your period might come later. Sometimes when you're on the last row it takes a couple days for it to kick in. You should wait a couple more days, and if it doesn't come THEN you should take a preg. test.

o.k. Your most fertile days are your 11th and 14th day after your period where the lining of your utereus start to rebuild itself for a possible egg to implant itself in and get nourishment. if no egg plants the lining starts to sluff of that was a period is. figure your times out and keep your fingers crossed. if you are pg. next month after having missed another period you'll have your answer. although now a days the tests are so accurate you can get an answer days after your missed period. go to the dollar store and buy a few tests there cheap and believe me you'll want to take more than one ,give it a couple days in between tests. good luck with that? think about getting a script for the morning after pill.
