Ah I have suggestion don't hang around smokers.

Smokers by the taxes they pay are more than paying their way through health care.

They have higher health insurance.

Yes there is a debate on the ill effect of second hand smoke.

The good new is that smokers have their own areas to smoke.

They don't smoke on planes.

There are plenty of no smoking sections when you go out to eat.

Bottom don't like smokers? Don't hang around them.

Because that it's not really something you think about when your smoking. I don't smoke, but when I did I would try to keep it away from my children, I would not even smoke where my kids could see, but most people don't think about who else they are hurting other than just themselves and some really just don't care. When I was a younger and my parents used to smoke and I was of a course a dork, I would go up to them and say "Second hand smoke is worse than first" and they would put it out.

Most smokers would be happy to have places where they are allowed to smoke and ban all non smokers. Every one has to right to free choice. If you dont like to be around smokers dont go into a business that allows it. But self righteous nanny staters want it all their way. With people like you it is my way or no way. Just so you know I am a non smoker and dont feel the need to tell other people what is best for them and try to run their life. I take care of myself and leave them alone.

They already do, they used to have smoker rooms for them but not anymore. The only place they can smoke is in their homes, outside and their cars and the government is also trying to take that away.

most who complain smoked some time or another in their lives. Then suddenly they are health nuts. One whiff and they are choking. Didn't bother them when THEY were smoking.
"Second hand smoking" is remindful "second hand sex"...or "second hand clothing" or "second hand shoes, etc. All have been used before.
If second hand smoking bothers you, move away. There are enough laws on the books where people can remove themselves from any areas where smoking is permitted.
(And do you realy believe the cigarette manufacturers are that concerned about smoking? They're stil in business! Not going anywhere) PETITION THEM !!!
and btw I have never smoked a cigarette in my life (age 24) but if others do and it bothers me, I move away.

So who are these smokers you refer to who are claiming the "right to poison other people"? Most public places ban smoking in interior areas.

Get a grip!

Tobacco is a LEGAL substance....as long as the smoker is not in a non-smoking area, he/she has every right to enjoy the habit.

If you don't like it, stay away from public venues that smokers attend.

Because they like smoking. Their pleasure is worth more than any discomfort to others.
