I don't think you hate the police, I think your feelings are moreso directed at your parents for calling them in the first place. Seriously though, if he was being violent towards you in the first place, he's the one you should be angry at. Don't be stupid and wait until it's too late, leave him while you can.

I used to be a security officer at a hospital and worked with policemen in that respect.
Policemen have a very difficult, thankless job. If there is evidence that a crime has been committed, they make an arrest. That's their job. If physical violence or undue disturbance has occurred, then it is there duty to stop it. If it means arresting someone causing this, it's not the policeman's fault. Especially if there is resistance. For instance, I called the police to assist me in removing a man from the hospital for disturbing a patient.
The police arrive and inform the man that he has to leave and that it would be best for all involved if he would kindly tip on out the door and don't return. The man refuses and threatens the officers. What can they do? They try to resolve a situation without arresting, but when there is no cooperation, the arrest occurs.
Next time you see a police officer, shake his hand and thank him for trying to keep the peace and that you appreciate his efforts. It's the best gift you can give an officer of the law!

No, it's not normal, I don't think. The police came because they were called - not because they were looking for someone to take away. What else isn't normal, or good for anyone, is domestic violence. In the past, I realized that if I had a run-in with the police, it wasn't because anyone was doing something to ME, it was because I did it to myself.

WHY would you hate the police? They did what they were asked to do - and that is their JOB! To HATE someone who is doing their JOB is immature and putting the BLAME entirely in the WRONG place! IF you HAVE to be upset, look at your BOYFRIEND and your SELF!! You are with a guy who OBVIOUSLY is NOT considered a "nice guy", AND your PARENTS strongly disapprove of him. IF you had not brought him in to the family, NONE of this would of happened.

PUT THE BLAME WHERE IT BELONGS - on YOU. HATING those who enforce the LAW will bring you a lifetime of disappointment. GET A GRIP on reality sister!

Well, hello!!! what kind of question is this? the Cops came because SOMEBODY called them, kiddo! that what they are they for. To protect who needs and call for help.
Why don't you ask your parents? and even that, your parents cried for help when they see you in danger.
Now, my question to you...why are you with a guy that abuses you? you make a lot of people upset, girl. Why are you so dumb? I don't care what excuses you gonna give me try to protect that looser that you found for yourself, maybe you are not worth either and you guys made a match: looser with a looser....I am very upset with you right now, very disappointing for your parents to have a daughter like you.
Next time he's almost killing you, don't call anybody, let's see if you survive to tell your stupidity.
You should kiss those cop's feet.

You probably hated them but your parents didn't. And if the shoe were on the other foot and it was you who had to call them would you hate them then? You hate them for a ticket but you love it when they show up and save your life in an accident. Dont fret too much, it is that way with everyone. We loved our mom when she fed us but we hated her when she disciplined us. We are called humans, ever hear of them?
