Born in a manger long ago was a savior to mankind for all to revere.
Enveloped in swaddle cloth he looked into the faces of his loving parents.
They didn't know the reason immediately why they had been given such a beautiful child.
Herod had been told of the coming of this great king.
Legions of soldiers were sent throughout the country to destroy this threat to his throne.
Escaping the soldiers Joseph and Mary fled the city and hid in the wilderness.
Heralded back to the reigning king that the child was found Herod was relieved that his throne was no longer in danger.
Everything was changed for the whole world that night so long ago.

B - Beth, the new teacher was speaking to her class one morning
E - Excitedly, she asks"What is your wish for Christmas?"
T - Tiny fingers immediately pointed skywards wanting to answer
H - "Howard, what is your wish?" asks Beth
L - "Like to Have my momma come back home from the hospital for Christmas!" he says.
