Yeah unfortunately its normal. Remember bruising is just a bit of blood that escape from blood vessels and gets trapped under the skin. Any time you shove a sharp (or blunt) bit of metal through your skin it will cause a little trauma, bleeding, bruising and swelling. It should go away in a few days.
Wash it with salty water and if it gets red and mucky then ask your chemist on a good antiseptic. If you try again you can apply ice to area first for a few minutes then at the end just after you put the stud in. This will cause the blood vessels to shrink and reduce bleeding and bruising. It worked for me when i was 15.

It's not normal to have a bruise where the site is. I hope you used a sterile needle. Might want the doc to look at it or you could get an infection. Try getting it done professionally and best of luck.

Yes it is normal. I've had a few piercings myself, its normal its your bodies way of saying "hey what are you doing to me" because you put a hole where a hole naturally isn't. Just keep up with it and make sure you dont get infected. Peroxide is a good way.

ya because of how you applied the pressure to the piercing thats what caused the bruising, same thing happens when people give blood and stuff, I wouldnt worry but Keep It Clean!! and I hope you used a clean neddle
