As far back as I can remember, I'd watch the news with my folks, to see if and where Santa had been spotted (tracked on radar later). I still do it!
When my kids were little, I'd let them open their Christmas p.j.s, and we'd watch Christmas movies and make popcorn.
This year, we are having Christmas Eve dinner with my fiance's family. I get to meet relatives I haven't met yet. Oh, boy!
After that, we'll probably watch a Christmas movie at home or something. I have some lesser known, fabulous ones on tape! He goes to bed really early, so he probably won't last for more than one. He wanted to open presents on Christmas Eve, but I said no way! We have to have something to do Christmas morning! Besides, we have enough to do as it is.
I love your traditions! I love The Night Before Christmas. This year we might watch Christmas with the Kranks. That is so funny! That's something that might happen to me if I tried to skip Christmas!
Today, I'm going to my daughter's to exchange gifts with them. My son will be there, and I haven't seen him in two years! I'm so excited! That reminds me, I haven't got their gifts wrapped yet, so I better get off here, and get on with it!
Merry Christmas to all!

Yes, I get my daughter new PJs and slipper every year for christmas. After putting on pjs we open one gift, have cocoa, pop corn... and watch a movie or listen to christmas music and play cards, games... We have done this every year since she has been born, she is 18.
