i tried to install the sims 2 university, and it came up with the first screen then nothing happened and it just stayed on my desktop, what should i do , should i un-install it and re-install it and have i lost all my other families and things?

My guess is that the video card in your computer isn't powerful enough to handle the expansion pack. I found the folks at EP very helpful. Its possible that you have lost everything, but don't uninstall until you have talked to EP about specifications. I've done this about 4 times over the years, while heartbreaking, I tend to look at it as an "Act of God" and recreate new neighborhoods and new lives.

Un-Install and Re-Install. This could delete all of your data.
