Everyone seemed to be hung up on Sixwire and Light of Doom. I personally like Light of Doom (even though I never cared for heavy metal), but they're still a bit amateur. And Sixwire sounded too much like the Eagles to me. Personally, I think America made the right choice. What do you think?

The Clark Brothers are really talented. I am glad they won. I only watched a couple episodes but I think they deserved to win out of all the bands I saw.

To compare Sixwire to the Eagles is a nice compliment. I wished they would have won and here's why:
In the final competition episode the bands got to pick one song to play (the other two were picked for them). Both Denver and Sixwire played original songs while The Clark Brothers played a gospel song they did not write. You're looking for a record contract -why wouldn't you pick one of your original songs to play. Except....Dicko called their last original song Country Music 101 and said the lyrics were awful (I don't think he used that word but that was what he was trying to convey. And the lyrics were pretty bad - talking about eating fried chicken on their front lawn with girls.). So they probably were a bit gun shy about playing an original.
To me that was the kiss of death. I don't want to buy covers of songs, I want to buy your original songs. While I like Denver (love horn sections in bands!) I thought their music was more simplistic than Sixwire's. I just really enjoyed their lyrics and the music overall.
Personally my favorite band was Cliff Wagner and the Old # 7. I could just see myself kicking back with a few drinks, hanging out in the backyard with friends listening to their songs. They seemed as if they were a fun bunch of guys.
Just my opinon (on Clark Brothers and Sixwire), that I know is not shared by you or others. So my answer to this question is yes, I am disappointed they won. But that's the whole point of having a show where the fans decide who the winner should be versus the "experts". And I don't know if the experts would have picked them over a band like Franklin Bridge or Sixwire.

i wanted tres bien to win but when they got kicked off i didnt really watch anymore. the clark brothers i personally didnt like, but maybe thats just me???
