Where to start? Electric stove.. can rewire the burners and change heating elements. Refrigerator... if it stops cooling the way it should, we know how to clean the tube and get it going. We can usually get tv games, cd and dvd players, vcr's, controllers and more working again. Computers.. can add more memory, put in new hard drive, fix speakers and more.
Plumbing... can take apart pipes and find where something is clogged, put new pipes where there are leaks, take the toilet off to get toys out and replace the donut, replace washers when needed and more.
I fix furniture, too. LOL
Did it work? It works. LOL
To list everything, would take too much space and time. Ha ha!!

I fix everything myself...so far never failed... Home projects, cars, electronics.....I can do it all. My two daughters keep me busy fixing all their stuff too. I went on vacation and they had to call repairmen.. Boy were they surprised! It took a day for the guy to get there, two days to get the part, and cost an arm + a leg. They are used to getting everything fixed the same day and for free. Their motto.."If Dad can't fix it, you don't need it". Last week, new drum seal for wash machine, canister vaccuum cleaner, DVD player, rechargable stick vacuum, and broken leg on end table. Good thing I'm retired.

Yes to both, and they worked. For plumbing, I replaced the faucet in my kitchen. It wasn't as good as a professional, but it worked right, and as a utilitarian, that's all that mattered (it has a swiveling head, and it wasn't perfectly centered, so it turned further toward the wall on the cold side).

Does hitting it a good one count? That usually works with the TV.
And when I fix my own plumbing it always works, but then again, I am a plumber, so it better work.

I fixed my boyfriend's PS2. He thought it was fried because it wouldn't read the discs anymore. I popped some screws, cleaned the cooling fan and heat sink and put it all back together. It's still working to this day. He couldn't believe that I fixed it.

I fixed a copier whose internal springs had fallen off.
I'm not mechanical & I was ridiculously pleased with myself for actually figuring it out.

Sure.
If it's already broke, what harm can you do?
Sometimes it works, sometimes not.
Give it a try.
