Warm water with a tablespoon of salt. Gargle then spit.
If that doesn't cure it, boil ginger in water. Drink this like tea -- it tastes sort of hot (but not in a peppery way) and balms the throat area. Singers do this to prepare their voice box for the vocal exercise.

Ice cream, or there is an acupressure point at the angle of you throat and chin. Immune boosting things may help such as sufficient rest and ample nutrition.

Warm a cup of water, not boiling though, add a teaspoon or more of lemon juice, a tablespoon of honey and a sprinkle of cayenne pepper. Sip slowly.
