Why would you be on bed rest after your delivery, are you having a c section? I know plenty of people who went back to work 1 to two days after labor.

It would totally depend on you. Birth is a very exhausting process by itself. Then throw in a brand new baby and god forbid a c-section and you will be wiped out!
I know most jobs give you 6 weeks off for maternity leave. Some people do go back a lot earlier then that though.
It's much eaiser if you have a really good support system, your friends and family, to help you. Good luck to you and congrats on the pregnancy!

I am sure you can manage. However I would not reccommend it.
1) You have no idea how your body will recover
2) You have no idea what kind of sleep pattern your baby will have and how much sleep you will be bale to get
3) you have no idea how much work the program will be and how this wil diminish the time spent with baby.
Ultimately the choice is yours, but sleep deprivaton will ultimately affect your grades, and will it be worth "trying" to do it if you may have to retake it if you do not get good enough grades?
Do not resent your baby for coming when they are, just try nd plan for the folowing year is my advice. Good luck with your pregnancy.

Hi Shushu! Every pregnancy and every birth is different: some women sail through both, while others experience exhaustion, depression, or medical complications. It's impossible to predict how you will respond when it comes down to it.
However if you are reasonably young and healthy, both physically and mentally, have good support from partner, family, and medical team/midwife, you should be fine.
Good luck!

I would ask your doc. if you are doing anything hard if its just sitting in class why not! good luck to you!!

I don't really see a problem as long as you're not doing too much running around...and you might want to go in and inform your teachers (they might be able to work something out for you). If you have a c-section then it might be more of a problem. As a teacher myself, I can tell you that if you talk to them they will usually try to help as much as possible...but they have to know before they can help. I wouldn't try to go through the school though since they’re not likely to be as accommodating. If it’s a lot of lectures you might want to find someone friendly in class that will share notes but try your hardest not to miss too much.

this is just my opinion...i dont even have kids....i think a newborn should be with the mother for the first year even two.years full time...it sounds like your first child and i would think the stresses of raising a child are enough without adding school......you will be learning plenty every day -as wil your baby

talk to the school about it, hope fully they will be respectful of your delicate condition. you will definately need proper support will you have that. It can be done, it you have the determination and help. but it won't be easy and don't do anything that will hurt the development of your precious baby.

get induced!!
i went over my due date, and had to get induced anyway..
but, you might decide to wait a year to enter the program anyway, (once the precious little one is here)..
I'd still recommend getting induced. good luck! (personally, I think it's GOOD timing!!!)
