All living things are mostly water. It probably wouldn't change the ocean by a millimeter.

Besides, all living sponges are in the Ocean!

actually it would be shallower. the volume of the sponge itself displaces water, making the ocean large, & as a result deeper.

i love the ocean, but thinking of to that extent makes me cringe!

i always imagine what i would do if stuck dead smack in the middle of, let alone, what's at the bottom of it!

the movie open water made it worse!

Titanic or Poseidon didn't help either...

A bit shallower. I worked out that if I got into the sea, it would rise by 10^-13 mm.
