If we are all born sinners and go to hell unless we verbally accept Christ as our savior, then do babies or others who are not capable of doing so go to hell when they die?

If even babies are subject to being cast into Hell, and you believe Hell exists, then by definition man would have to be guilty before the Lord. Very, very guilty if it extends to those under the age of reason. Which makes God very, very holy. What's the way out of our predicament if no one gains Heaven on their own?

A Savior, of course. Even for the children. And so Christian parents come to Him on their knees in repentance, bringing their kids with them and laying them in the shadow of the cross through baptism. He died for them too.

And if your question has to do with the atheist family, who does not see the need for a savior, will they not discourage belief in Christ as their child ages? They will not step into a church to baptize their youngster except for superstitious reasons perhaps. They will leave their child to the wolves unless God, in His grace, seizes them from their clutches.

Make no mistake, God will do the right thing. He can search the heart, he can save or give anyone over to a reprobate mind as He wills -- and has decreed from before the foundations of the world were laid.

The early Church had believed that the souls of the unbaptized infants and young children would go to a intermediate place because they had original sin. This place neither had eternal happiness nor suffering it was a state of nothingness. Latter on the Church believed that the souls of the unbaptized infants and young children did go to Hell, but it was a nice place of natural happiness. Latter on this place would be called the Limbo for the Infants. The modern Church teaches that the souls of the unbaptized infants and young children are in God's hands. This means you can believe that they enter the perfect happiness of Heaven, or you can believe that they enter the natural happiness of Limbo for the Infants. I should mention that the Limbo for the infants was never a official doctrine of the Church.

Babies are not held accountable for their actions until they reach an age of understanding. That is by standard 12 years old. Some more, some less, depends on the intellect of the child.

there is an age of accountability where they have to know right from wrong. Babies and small children don't know right from wrong yet. Once they reach that age then if they don't accept Jesus then they would go to hell.

Thats not very fair if babies go to hell since they didn't commit any fault

Mark 16:16 (believe or be damned) suggests that you may be on to something, but I have a feeling that the Christians will find a way to reinterpret the text to say something quite different.

if there is such thing as hell... then no. babies wouldn't go there. the bible is a bunch of BS!! babies are innocent! if there was an all powerful god then he wouldn't be such a prick to allow babies to be sick and die anyway! and if there is a god and he does allow this he is a hateful, sick being. not one that i'd ever want to worship!!

Yes, but all preachers balk at that and declare an age of innocence for dead children. It is just one more example of how religious doctrine contradicts common sense.
