I keep seeing and hearing of these people for example a 70 somethings years old woman with an Egyptian man that is 24. The other day i heard of a 17 years old boy from Cairo with a 44 years old English woman. The amount i know that are old woman married to young guys (for a while because they all divorce), what on earth are these young guys families saying!

Has Egypt became a country of male sex, guys selling the bodies to tourists, to take any chance to take a visa or money. Its just sick..its abusive!

It destorys the image of Egypt to other countries
It makes Egyptians look cheap characters
I have seen more and more of this going on, look at how many old woman come to this section these days and ask about Egyptian Boyfriends"

Well they are going to screw up the travel visa for others, i cant blame the American or Russian embassy for stopping marriage visas!

@yasso- well the embassies are doing things about it, they are limiting the visa applications that they approve, making it more difficult to get married

@kalooka, why does it bother me..ok here are a few reasons:

two guys i know in the last year went to mental health hospitals because this kind of married life turned them crazy, one at this moment is time is back in Cairo high on drugs-

the women if they are young enough are trapping the guys into having children to make them stay in misery, the ones that dont stay mean the children left behind from broken families.

It bothers me that people think of a Egyptian and a Muslim a certain way and they get these kinds of stories that makes Egyptians & Muslims look bad. Its my right for it to bother me.

Is the concept of supply and demand of human bodies that easy! Its not a sick image to see a man and woman 50 years age apart.

It is not ok, as Farah said her cleaning lady didnt sell her daughter...

Do people raise children that the bodies go to the nearest or easy taker, its not supply and demand when it comes to humans, its an abuse of power.

What would anyone want the social decay that these things cause, drugs addicts on the streets, Egypt turn like a sex tourism industry, its all cause and effect-

thank God Om Farah you know what im saying.

I have nothing much to say except that this is revolting, disgusting, sickening, and merely using marriage as a cover for what is really the oldest profession in history. For those saying it's a personal choice and that they bear the consequences I disagree since it reflects badly on the whole country not just on them. If a mother decided to prostitute herself, it sure as hell affects her children and her family as well, not just herself! There is absolutely no excuse for making a decision like this. Selling papers or working in a gas station and earning minimum wage with your dignity and pride intact is a million times better than wearing silk pajamas and sleeping on silk sheets while selling your body for all the money in the world.

Edit:
I just wanted to add a bit I just told hasafer on messenger. Obviously I don't agree with him on this one. My cleaning LADY (not man) holds my admiration and respect because of her dignity and pride. Despite her extremely difficult circumstances, two divorces from abusive husbands, and illness, she refused to sell her daughter to a wealthy Arab suitor like so many do, though the girl was more than willing. She beat some sense into her daughter, insisted that she complete her education, and goes on working hard with her pride and integrity intact. I bow to her and people like her. Not ones who give up and sell themselves no matter how hard the circumstances and how alluring the temptations. Sorry if I am being too hard, but this is just me.

My dear, Egyptians has actually became cheap characters; lets stand and face the truth for one moment.

Egypt became a very strange country. Imagine that there are some areas that the tourists can visit while it is banned to the Egyptians! The Sons of the land are forbidden; while the foriegners are welcomed. Imagine if a foriegner went to a police station pleading against an Egyptian! What will happen?

Bad economic status.. In fact; there is no economic status at all. people are drinking poisonous water; breathing polluted air, and eating poinsonous food. I'm sure you heard that a city like el Borollos was lacking water for 6 months.. Imagine; the people of River Nile are fighting for water!

Here our religion orders us to immigrate for rizk - if the conditions became so bad - but - unfortenately - when conditions become so bad; other countries reject the Egyptian citizen. Here comes the dilemma: You are unable to live here; and unable to leave...

Some countries just export gangsters to AMerica; yet still America can't refuse granting them visas; for their government gave them an image and right, and made the citizen a valuable citizen. Rejecting Visas of Egyptians by the USA - The Freedom gardian - has nothing to do with premature marriage; it is something else.

Based on that fact; it is acceptable that the people search for any method to leave and find work and bettder life. I don't say that it is right; but it is acceptable. When a hungry man steals a loaf of bread; I think it is acceptable.

I totally agree with the above answers that this is not accpetable, ...etc. I also do not want to find excuses for the poor people who want to eat, ....etc by having these kind of marriages. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. However, I m woundering, Why haven't you though about the image of the counties that exports grannies to Egypt in order to find young males???? I think this thing should work both ways in order to be honest. If these well civiliazed countries can not prevent these grannies from travelling and getting married with young Egyptian males, how can Egypt stop this with the limited capabilities and resources!!!! Just a Question for you to think about.

sorry AA , but you can't blame them as long as you can't help them , families of over 8 persons are living in flats that are one room , they see hell in transportation , they can't find jobs [ no wasta ] and if they do , it's for no more than 400 le , they don't get proper food or drinking water , they will never get a proper medical treatment [ i can guarantee you this ] so if they are desperate and find no other solution , I can't blame them , it's wrong , but it's still marriage , they can steel or hook up with the same women for all the money they want without marriage and you will be surprised if you know how many time i got offers like that [ I'm a doctor , and my salary is 260 le , but allhamdullelah my family is well-doing ] however I can't marry before I'm 32 at least , just cz I have to bribe to register in masters and bribe to succeed then pay much more money to learn surgery from a so called professor . I hate our consequences and I can't blame anyone trying to do anything as long as it's legal , even if it's not acceptable .

I'll speak only for myself.. I can't do it.. infact even if I wanted to.. I can't.. although I've seen a guy I knew a while ago who fancies it.. not for money, not for visa.. just because he likes it.. I couldn't believe my eyes when I met him hooking a granny in his arm.. and he looked sooo proud and happy.. he was enjoying every moment.. there is a psycological explanation for this phenomena.. I don't know it cuz I'm not a shrink..
BUT... speaking of the country's image.. ha .. I don't think this negatively effects the image compared to thousands of other things that brought the image waaaaayyyy down.. infact I won't be able to list them here.. kefaya fadaye7
