No, a Dominos Pizza is definitely not healthy. The problem isn't so much the meat, but rather the fact it is pan fried.

Try a proper Italian pizza. Not very fattening if made properly and if you get a plain one, like Margherita.

You can make one yourself. To make really simple base; flour, pinch of salt, tablespoon of olive oil and water. Mix and knead then roll out. Make sure you have oiled the pizza tray, roll out a very thin base. Put toppings. I would suggest sliced tomato, capsicum, mushrooms and then a bit of mozzarella (or bocconcini-even fresher). Most of the fat in this type of rustic home made pizza is in the mozzarella. Ifyou are really determined to cut out fats I think you can get light mozzarella, but it tastes like plastic and doesn't actually have much less fat.

Good luck

My answer is along the lines of Vini and Cheyenne's. Even without cheese, I generally will not touch conventional restaurant pizza as they're all made with white bread. Ick. The other evening I was at my in-laws and they ordered pizza. I had a veggie burger with a pita from my sister-in-law, who is just beginning to make better food choices. (She lives at home and itwasn't too long ago, just in the past year, that I would walk into their kitchen and see some fruits and veggies, but most of them had seen better days. It used to be that I would have to take enough stuff for every meal, just to be safe. I digress.) I also had some baby carrots (which were organic) and an apple. My SIL had the pizza, though. While I wasn't in the dining room when everybody was eating (I was in another room nursing my daughter), I wouldn't have been surprised if the grease the cheese reflected the lights. Ick. Then there's the lovely grease stains on the boxes...

Even before I became veg I would take paper towels to absorb some of the grease from the cheese. After seeing what it did to the paper towels, I didn't want it to do that to my insides.

Now, my husband makes pizza at home. He found some pre-made dough at Trader Joe's for $.99. (TJ's is a chain of all-natural food stores that have incredibly wonderful cheap prices. I get all-natural chocolate chip granola bars there for only $1.99.) For sauce, we just use regular Hunt's pasta sauce ($1 a can). We put frozen veggies on top ($1 for a 16 oz. bag at Kroger). On his side, my husband puts cheese, but just enough for taste. The whole thing costs less than $5 and is incredibly yummy.

We tried doing it with pitas once, but I think they were too thin because it didn't hold the veggies well. Eh.

Yes it is, sorry. If you don't want to cut out pizza from your life, there are other alternatives. You could try making your own HEALTHY pizza. A whole wheat crust, natural pure tomatoe sauce, and some organic skim milk cheeses(don't go too heavy on the cheese) and don't forget you could always add some of your favourite vegtables to top it off! Oh, and remember, don't slab a bunch of grease on your pizza to cook it, just place it in the oven and bake it. And there you have it, a healthy pizza...

It can be.

Pizza sauce is high in anti-oxidants and essential acids, so are sun dried and regular tomatoes. The onion and garlic helps with vitamin C, capsicum for folic acid, mushrooms for protein - yeah its all there.

The problem with Dominoes is the sugar in the base, puls the oil coating they put in the pan and the fact that a lot of store use pre-packed stuff that has lost some nourishment.

Make your own on pita bread. It's not long in the oven - make sure you use mozzarella or goats cheese.

Enjoy.

As part of a balanced diet, an occasional pizza is not unhealthy. But even without the meat, you have to consider all the calories in the crust and the cheese.

It depends on what you put on it. Watch out for that extra cheese (but it's soooo good)

Better yet, just each the vegetables by themselves--better for you.
