I can just hear the Animal Rights activists screaming at this question...
My answer is there is nothing wrong with it. Anyone contradicting me better not eat turkey on Thanksgiving or hamburger at a BBQ, least they be contradicting themselves.

If you are Jewish and you follow the Jewish law for the sacrifice of animals it is ok. However the Jews in Israel do not practice sacrifices because they do not have the temple in which to sacrifice.
What language says dere for there?
I think you are a troll.
The sacrifice of an animal is more than just cooking the meat that is bought in the store. The animal must be slain in a prescribed manner that is according to scripture. The blood must be sprinkled on the altar in a prescribed manner.

Sacrificing was a manner of which to give back to God, but since animals were imperfect just as we are, the sacrifices served to remind people of their sins. Jesus changed that in that He being the perfect sacrifice took away our sins. Why even bother with sacrificing something when Jesus did it for us. That is an insult at Jesus. We no longer need to sacrifice which isn't what God desires of us anyway, Hebrews 10:1-9. God desires obedience, 1 Samuel 15:22.

It is commonly understood that YAHOSHUA was the final sacrifice. That to sacrifice animals is to deny the adequacy of the Savior's sacrifice. It seems to me that just as previous sacrifices pointed forward to the Messiah's sacrifice, that current sacrifices could be in remembrance of His sacrifice. I'm not sure. I believe that the intention of the "worshipers" might be more important than the details of the experience.

I have a feeling that if you go do a poll of the animals they will say there's a great deal wrong with it.

Don't we do that when we eat hot dogs and hamburgers on the 4th of July, etc.?
Now, as far as the ceremonial spectacle goes, I prefer human sacrifice -- say, the Vice President...
