Yeah any of my hamsters who have been in cages with tubes have usually ended up sleeping in their tubes. They like to sleep somewhere that they feel protected, and feeling the tube around them will make them feel secure.

I don't know about hamsters, but i have a guinea pig and he doesn't like to leave his igloo. He's kinda like a turtle. The vet said he feels safe in there. It seems to me that if she couldn't breathe in the tubes, she would move. Is her behavior normal besides where she sleeps?

My daughters hamster sometimes moves all his bedding and sleeps in the tube for about 3 days and then moves all bedding back to its hide for 2 days and then my daughter cleans the cage and he does it all over again.

Hamsters sleep anywhere that want, where they feel safe. You may think that they cant breath in th small tubes, but they can. You'll be surprised what hamsters can do. Trust me he's fine. =]

My friend's hammie has slept in her tubes before. And my hamster can't sleep in his tubes because he is very chubby, plus he always goes up to his little 'loft' and sleep there. Or under his wheel. XD

Yes it's fine, it won't hurt her.
We used to have a little house shaped bed for our hamster but it always ended up taking out the bedding and putting it wherever it wanted! They sleep wherever they feel comfortable.

My hamster used to sleep in her tubes, because i thiink she was nervous and felt safe in them, however she began to become afraid of coming out of them, so we removed them for a few months and she was fine, we have now put them back in and she enjoys running around them, without relying on living in them.

hamsters sleep anywhere, where it feels safe and secure, my hamster sometimes sleeps in toilet roll tubes....im sure if they werent comfortable or couldnt breathe they would move to somewhere more suitable, seems like ur pet is happy there :) so not to worry, i just get confused because mine has a house and lot of bedding in it, and he rarely uses it, he loves dragging bedding into the tubs instead, he does eat his food in the house though

yes some hamsters do, do this to keep warm as they are in an enclosed space. its is perfectly safe for your hamster to sleep there as it has got access to air, and is able to be mobile to move around when it wants to,
don't stress its perfectly fine!
